The part is still obtainable but if you are having trouble I have used BAT49 small-signal Schottky diode in a similar role as a fast switching diode in recent designs and I am sure it will be just fine here . ( TERMINOLOGY WARNING-any " recent design " that I had a hand in is going to be at least twenty five years old ).
